A Brief History of the Nevada Cattlemen’s Association

In 1935, cattlemen from around Nevada joined together to form the Nevada State Cattle Association for the purpose of protecting the interests of cattle and horse grazing use on the range of Nevada. With membership fees set at $1.00, annual fees based on the size of the operation, and a 7-member Board of Directors, the Nevada State Cattle Association members began the long battle of protecting the interests of cattle producers in the State of Nevada.

More than 85 years later, the Association has taken the adopted name of Nevada Cattlemen’s Association and continues to protect the interests of beef industry in Nevada..
