Commodity Storage
Jay Wright of Tuscarora, Nevada bought two potato truck hauling beds from a farm auction in Idaho. He paid a mere $250 each. Jay elevated the truck beds on several discarded mine tires. This elevation allows his tractor feeder unit to fit under the spill spout of the potato beds. The beds came equipped with 110 volt electric motors which run the center belt. With a flip of the switch the feeder unit is filled with grain. When full, Jay covers the beds with tarps to keep moisture out of the grain. Savings over the years has been tremendous. Jay buys bulk grains and often gets back hauls of commodities out of the mid west.
