The Nevada Cattlemen's Association supports more local control of public lands currently administered by the U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management.
NCA supports efforts by national livestock groups to aggressively promote legislation in the U.S Congress that stabilizes the western livestock industry and addresses:
- Appropriate responses to administrative regulatory actions such as, standards and guidelines in rangeland reform legislation
- Strengthen local input process for Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management.
- Improve efficiency, budgetary oversight, and simplification of NEPA, Clean Eater Act, and Endangered Species Act, and water rights.
- Strengthen requirements for coordinating land use planning activities with local governments.
