An Improved Mouse Trap Ron Berg of Round Mountain uses a 5 gallon plastic bucket filled about 1/3 full of water to rid himself of mice and rats. He fills the bucket with water deep enough to drown rats and mice but not so deep that rodents can climb out. He smears peanut butter just above the water level. If the peanut butter is gone and you have no rat, go to a bigger bucket. Use a 1 x 2 or 1x 4 board as a ramp to allow the rodents to climb to the bucket lip. They reach for the peanut butter, lose their balance and fall in the water and drown. It Works!!! |

Air Gun Fly Control Scott Ballard of Clover Valley needed a labor saving method of applying fly insecticide on the backs of his cattle during peak fly season. Scott purchased an air gun delivery system. Using a portable air storage tank to power the device he accurately delivers the correct dosage of fly repellent to each animal as they depart the coral. Manual guns do not recharge fast enough to deliver the repellent to each animal as they pass. The air gun has a longer reach, faster recharge and is more accurate in delivery. By being able to implement fly control during peak fly season the incidence of pink eye has been drastically reduced. |
